LandscapeDE was hired by Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces to develop a new nature-based playground for Cherry Grove Park Park in Miami Dade County. Extensive landscaping throughout the site emphasizes native trees and plants, immersing families and children in a uniquely South Florida natural environment. The design also features native oolite stone as retaining walls designed to evoke natural rock ridges in the South Florida landscape. The walls serve as seating and play elements in the play space. The Cherry Grove Park Playground design is currently in the development stage with an anticipated construction date in 2024.
